1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how HealthyLifeStyles ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit our website and use our free health calculators and tools (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. The data you enter into our tools

Many calculators (such as the BMI, calorie, and body-fat tools) run entirely in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. The values you enter — your height, weight, age, activity level, and similar inputs — are processed locally on your device to show your result.

Recipe analysis in the Recipe Analyzer sends ingredients and serving information by POST to /api/analyze-recipe for server-side processing, which may involve a nutrition or AI provider depending on the active service. Avoid including identifying or sensitive information.

Result-image downloads first send the tool name, value, label, and optional category and color to /api/result-image in URL query parameters. These URLs may appear in hosting or service logs. A local image fallback does not undo the initial request. Social sharing sends a URL and, for some platforms, result text to that platform, whose privacy practices apply.

The HRV log saves readings and notes in your browser's localStorage. They can persist after reloading or closing the page. Delete readings in the log or clear this site's browser data to remove them locally. This does not delete information already sent to servers or shared with others.

The Food and Symptom Diary saves entries in local storage. Health Score also saves a summary of your assessment there. Clear those entries in the tool or remove the site's browser data to delete the local copy.

Server logs and third-party services have separate retention practices. We do not promise immediate deletion or a fixed retention period that has not been verified. Optional server-connected features send the information you submit to their configured service.

3. Information we may collect automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers may process limited technical information when you visit, such as:

• Your approximate region (derived from your IP address)
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• The pages you view and how you arrived at the site

Our hosting provider may process access logs when you visit. If you accept analytics, we also send page paths and performance metrics to our own endpoint; these records include a timestamp and approximate country and help us keep the site reliable. Performance observations may be calculated locally before a choice, but the metrics and page path are transmitted only after you accept. See our Cookie Policy for details.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use a small amount of local storage to remember your cookie-consent choice so we don't ask you on every visit. We send optional performance measurements and load third-party analytics and advertising scripts only after you accept them. To withdraw consent, use "Cookie choices" in the footer and select "Reject non-essential". The page reloads to stop scripts that were already loaded without deleting locally saved tool data. 5. Third-party services

Hosting, analytics, and advertising providers may process technical data according to their own policies. If you submit an email address to subscribe or request an offer, we send it to our CMS and may forward it to our email automation provider to deliver updates. You can contact us to ask about or delete a subscription.

6. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the UK and EU, or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to object to certain processing. Data held depends on which features you use; locally saved readings remain in your browser. If you have a request or question, please contact us.

8. Data security

We serve the site over encrypted HTTPS connections and follow industry-standard practices to protect the limited technical data our providers process. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but keeping calculations on your device greatly reduces risk by design.
